About Us

Tamilnad Network of Positive people

Tamilnad Network of Positive People (TNP+) is a voluntary organization founded in the year 1995 by Thiru. Rama Pandian.

Since 1994, we have been working for the promotion of health, education, and development of most needy and marginalized communities. When HIV was considered a dreaded disease with a significant stigma and discrimination attached to it, TNP+ was established in 1994 and registered as a trust in 1995. Since its inception, the network has been a source of solace for thousands of people living with HIV (PLHIV). Treatment, care, and support constitute the primary areas in which TNP+ has been actively involved. Through Community Care Centers (CCC) and Drop-in Centers (DIC), PLHIVs are guided to make informed decisions regarding treatment and its adherence. TNP+ is also actively engaged in capacity building for PLHIVs by mobilizing internal resources. Currently, TNP+, along with 32 networks across the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, collaborates on the Vihaan project to work for the well-being of PLHIVs.
